Hi, I'm Abbey, the face behind Josie Bird Lettering. From a young age, I've always had a passion for creativity, whether it was drawing, writing stories, or painting.

In 2018, I became an elementary school teacher. I adored writing on the whiteboard and creating fun activities, especially when it involved my students' names.

Although I've moved on from teaching, my passion for hand lettering remains strong. Originally from Medina, Minnesota, I now call Madison, Wisconsin, home. By day, I work as a paralegal.

Outside of work, you can find me on the volleyball court, volunteering in my community, or exploring Madison and the Midwest. I'm thrilled to connect with clients and bring a personal touch to their special occasions with my lettering services.

The name Josie Bird is inspired by my late grandmother, Joanne (nicknamed Josie), who was an amazing artist. She loved all crafts but made cards and watercolor paintings until her last days, even when Multiple Sclerosis debilitated her. The "Bird" part stands for my fat cat, Birdie, whom I rescued in 2022.
