Do you have extra charges for different colored inks?

No, I do not charge extra for colors other than black, including white or metallic inks.

Do you provide signage rentals?

Sorry, but I'm not offering rentals at the moment.

Can I share inspiration pictures with you?

Absolutely! Please feel free to email any inspiration photos you've found or specific pictures to abbey@josiebirdlettering.com. While I can't replicate someone else's work, this will help me understand the style, size, and layout you're looking for.

How can I reserve your services?

Please submit your inquiry HERE. We'll discuss your event and the pieces you're interested in. Upon confirming my availability and agreeing on an estimate, I'll prepare and send you a contract for your review and signature.

Can I reserve your services even if I'm not sure exactly what I want yet?

Absolutely! I understand that many details may not be finalized until closer to your event. However, contacting me well in advance will secure your spot on my schedule and help you avoid rush fees later on. A $100 retainer is required, which will count toward your final payment.

Do you offer lettering services to clients outside of the Madison metropolitan area?

Yes, I'm always happy to ship items! However, due to the challenges and high costs of shipping, I currently only provide large signage to local clients for pickup.

How do I get my envelopes, place cards, signage, or other materials to you?

Once you've booked my lettering services, you can either arrange to drop them off in Madison, Wisconsin, or have them shipped directly to me.

How do I receive my completed pieces?

We can arrange for pick-up in the Madison, Wisconsin area, or I can ship them to you via UPS, FedEx, or USPS at your expense.

Do I need to provide extra envelopes or place cards?

Yes, please! I require 20% extra for materials. Hand-written work may have errors, and this extra amount also accounts for late additions or changes to your guest list.

How long does it take for you to letter my pieces?

Typically, envelope orders take 2-3 weeks, while place cards and signage require 1-2 weeks. Additional time may be needed depending on the quantity and complexity of your order.

What if I need lettering quickly?

Depending on availability, I may be able to accommodate rush orders. A 50% rush fee will apply to envelope and paper good orders with less than 2 weeks until the event, and to signage orders with less than 1 week until the event.

Do you need a deposit?

For orders with estimates exceeding $100, a retainer is required to secure your spot on my schedule.

How do payments work?

You will receive an electronic invoice via email for payment by credit card. I also use Venmo business. Full payment is required prior to pick-up or shipping of your orders.
